We all had some crazy fun on Saturday! Things got rolling about 2p and then the paper was flyin'! We took on Rodney Reindeer first and learned there IS a difference using Copic markers versus regular markers like Marvey markers when it comes to coloring and blending. I wish I had the investment in Copics that Marianne has when she teaches classes! Things you don't think about until you have 15 people all wanting to use the same three or four markers! After Rodney, it was down to business with the Celebrate book and Advent Calendars. Everyone was busy scoring, folding and inking, and even the kids were working on magnetic notepads! For once, we got out of there before 10p after several crafters and their spouses stayed late to help clean up, what a wonderful group!

WHAT ELSE DO I DO?
I create kits of most projects and spend a lot of time dabbling in digital photography. Additionally, I teach Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements—I've been using Photoshop for over 20 years, so I thought I should spread the love! Photoshop is an amazing program for beginners just getting into image editing and digiscrapping as well as us salty dogs in graphic design, so get it NOW! Seriously!
HOBBY LOBBY CLASSES
If you are interested in taking a class at either the North side or South side Hobby Lobby here in Springfield, sign-ups need to be completed within the times frames listed below, and class fee paid in cash on the day of class (no checks, I don't have a check validation system). If you register and you are a no show for class, you will not be allowed to register for future classes without prepayment. Most classes range from $12 to $25 depending on complexity of the class, the size of the kit provided, etc. You will need to bring a basic crafting kit to class (see the side bar below for what should be included), and some classes may have additional supply items or tools for you to bring, listed by class as appropriate. All classes start promptly at the time given, so if you are late, you'll have to catch up! In order to hold a class, I need at least 4 people signed up in advance per the schedule below. We can seat 8 at North side and 10 at South side. You can obtain the official class schedule in each of the two stores (please note that the calendars for the two locations are separate). Class projects are on display at the South side Hobby Lobby.

Basic Crafting Kit
Your kit should include wet adhesive (such as Zip Dry, Claudine Helmuth Multi-medium matte), dry adhesive (tape or tape runner/glider), glue stick, glue dots, foam dimensional adhesive (PopDots), detail scissors, paper cutter, black ink pen, pencil, ruler, brown and black inks for aging/distressing, wet wipes, corner rounder, eyelet setting tool (or Crop-A-Dile) for making holes, a bone folder for making creases, a piercing tool for making holes for brads, strings and other embellishments, an emery board or sand paper for distressing and anything else you find useful during a class! These items can be found in either the scrapbooking isle or art supply isle of your favorite craft store.
